Sculthorpe Milestone

The renovated Milestone is now back in its original position towards the east end of The Street. Very smart it looks too. The first two letters of ‘Fakenham’ are not shown due to regulations stating the renovation can only bring the stone back to the state that it was in when removed.

We are very grateful to Nigel Ford of the the Milestone Society for carrying out the hard work, to Thurlow Nunn Standen for sponsoring the cost, to the school children for help with the painting and to Ralph Pointer for using his teleporter to carefully lift it back into position. Stop by when you are passing, it looks great.
